Error compiz not installed
This is the error I get after I extract the files and execute the. Thanks Hi. Im trying to install kget and even though I've already installed the programs mentioned it still gives me the above error. What might be wrong?
Hi, I'm having this same problem with my attempts to install "Knights" in Lucid. So far the suggestions have not solved the problem. Are there any further suggestions? You may want to take a look at apt-get build-dep It gets all the dependencies of a particular package.
This is really handy when building packages from source. You may want to take a look at 'apt-get build-dep'. Ive had similiar no window border problems before, but always found installing Emerald was the easiest solution If you already have emerald installed and configured I'm not sure what else to advise.
If im way off, my apologies. Lexion The installation of libbonoboui did the trick, I got the window borders working. But it also installed a whole lot of other gnome-related files.
Is this standard for compiz? So thanks again for helping me getting the window-borders goin but it would be great if someone could explain to me why i get this error messages in the first place.
Following that, you'd run 'make' make I wouldn't normally use the root account for either configure or make, though. Then it's the matter of 'make install', which will need root priviledges. I have compiz istalled so You may need the dev files too; try sudo apt-get install compiz-dev. Which version of Ubuntu are you running; and have you installed build-essential?
You just need to install the plugin which is in the ubuntu repos. You can install it with a simple sudo apt-get install compiz-fusion-bcop Or from synaptic. However once you get the hang of it it's not that bad. The biggest problem is with missing dependencies which is what you're running into now and generally it's a matter of running.
